It's Come to This

Last night I passed a new mile post in my life. I put Bill Cosby's "Mother's Curse" on my children.

"I Hope! That Someday! You Have Children! Who Act! The Same Way That You Act!"

And a variation on the same theme:

"I Hope! That Someday! You Have Children! Who Hate The Food! That You Cook!"

Chili, anyone?

I've eaten your chili before, and it's awesome. Your chillinz are nuts.

"Come here. Come. Here. Come here here here here here!"

"Chocolate cake and grapefruit juice for breakfast. Now THAT's nutrition!"

Why do children do that? Why did we ever do that to our parents?
Rest assured that the "curse" will come to pass, as sure as the sun rises.

I'm so proud of myself. Most likely because I've seen how my mother's curse came back on me I have yet to let those words pass through my lips.

Of course they're still all home so they're not out of the woods yet.

Oh and I would so have eaten your chili. Mmm. Mmm. Good!

You said it.

It was great meeting you (and not just as the lady who lets my kids play in her sprinklers on hot summer days). You are too funny.

Love that you have a link to Mat6t's blog. Now, if we can just get him to post something new...

You are obviously a bad mother, as is anyone who agreed with your actions in this post.

Hey, my sister says that she wants to get rid of the huge bushes in front of her window. Here's your chance! Just be careful of the cement walkway and there's sprinklers in "the jungle." I've been telling her to pull out (or at least trim) those bushes for years, but she thought it was a horrible idea until her daughter-in-law suggested it. Oh well!
